Previously, a desaturation fault meant an immediate, brutal shutoff (hello, flyback spikes). v3.2.0.0 introduced two-stage fail-soft : first, it reduced the PWM duty cycle gradually over 8 microseconds; only then would it open the circuit. This saved the MOSFETs from avalanche breakdown during real overloads.
