Xuxx didn’t consider himself an artist. He took pictures because they helped him “hold a moment” that would otherwise slip away. He photographed sunrise over the harbor, the crooked wooden stalls of the market, and the wrinkled hands of his grandfather as he mended nets. Yet as the sea crept higher, his lens began to capture something more urgent.
