An official Android 7.1.1 Nougat update with ColorOS 3.1 was released in 2018 but was not made available as an Over-the-Air (OTA) update in all regions, notably missing India. Manual Installation:
"If your Oppo F3 is your daily driver, stay on the latest Marshmallow build. It’s boring, but it works. If the F3 is your backup phone or a tinkering device, jump straight to LineageOS 14.1. The official Nougat from Oppo is the worst of both worlds—old security patch and new bugs."
