Blaupunkt (and most OEM car radios) uses a called a radio code . If the radio loses constant 12V power (like when the battery is disconnected), it locks itself. Without the unique 4- to 6-digit code, the radio is a brick.
Most Blaupunkt units require (available on Amazon for $5). Insert the tools into the two small holes on the left and right of the radio faceplate until they click. Pull the tools outward to release the clips, then slide the radio out.
