"Police Story" (1985) was the first film in the series and introduced audiences to Inspector Chan, a dedicated and somewhat unorthodox police officer. The film was a significant success and led to a series of sequels, including "Police Story 2" (1988), "Police Story 3: Supercop" (1992), "Police Story 4: First Strike" (1996), and "Police Story 5: Final Mission" (2003). A reboot, "Police Story 2015" (also known as "Police Story: Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" in some regions), was released much later.
