The Kooks formed in 2005 in London, England, with lead vocalist and guitarist Luke Pritchard, guitarist Hugh Borland, bassist Dominic David, and drummer Alexis Nunez. The band's early sound was shaped by their blues-rock and indie rock influences, as well as their energetic live performances.
