اگرچہ یہ کتاب تقریباً 80 سال پہلے لکھی گئی، لیکن اس کے پیغامات آج بھی اتنے ہی تازہ ہیں:
Written to counter the Pahlavi dynasty's secularist agenda.
The book is structured into six chapters that mirror the division of the original pamphlet it refutes: (Monotheism), (Leadership), The Clergy Government Defending Shia Beliefs
This was a radical departure from the quietist tradition of Shia scholarship, which had long avoided direct political confrontations. The Urdu translator, Maulana Syed Muhammad Taqi Naqvi (first translator), added a footnote here: "Yeh woh beej hai jis se Inqilab ka darakht ugay ga" (This is the seed from which the tree of revolution will grow).
