Released in 2003 , Gothic II: Night of the Raven is considered a masterpiece of European RPG design. However, running it on a modern PC (Windows 10/11) is often a nightmare.

When you run the base game on Windows 10 or 11, the engine panics. It tries to render the world at 5,000 frames per second, causing physics glitches where NPCs launch into the sky. It crashes when you alt-tab. It struggles to recognize modern controllers.
