For modern systems (Windows 10/11), (SDI) is generally preferred over EDP because it is open-source, auditable, and regularly updated. For legacy systems (Windows XP/7), EDP v5.2.5.5 may still be useful if obtained from a reputable preservation archive and scanned thoroughly with antivirus software.
